Mar 9th, 2020Pretty respectable for its price point. It feels so ripe and so Mclaren but the Shale Stone is all taken from a vineyard in Clarendon. Spiced plum, blackberry jam, bi-carb soda, leather earth. This vintage doesn't quite show the tannin the last did but I suppose the acid there may lead one to believe this may not be Mclaren fruit. The alcohol is quite noticeable in the gob. Other than that, no complaints
