Love these still wines from sherry land. The one problem can be lack of acid, which afflicts this white as well. Otherwise it’s got a nice rounded, saline palate, mild white flowers on an otherwise non descript nose. Decent food wine. Not so Interesting but not bad. Others in my party felt more enthusiastic about it.

This is Primitivo Collantes’ entry-level wine, 100% Palomino from the estate’s Matalián vineyard in Chiclana (south of Cádiz, in the so-called Sherry Production zone). Fermented in stainless steel, no aging under flor. Subtle nose with aromas of citrus, minerals, chalk and some floral notes. Light bodied, fresh. Flavors of lemon and chalk. Tasted the 2019 and 2020 vintages. It seems to improve after with year in bottle
