Somehow drinking even better than the bottle I opened over a year ago. The color still pours out very dark with hardly any bricking at all. Fruit/tannin perfectly balanced. Not immortal, but damn close. I wish I had some 1997 reserve to compare.

Jammy and fruity still, but unfortunately quite tannic. Cherry nose and a strong sousbois taste.

Still tannic but fruity and delicious. Jammy. Cherry. Cedar. Ate with parmesan gnocchi and rack of lamb crusted with rosemary breading. Forest floor. Yum
