Color of deep purple, looks thick. Nose of licorice, blackberries, milky vanilla, a bit tobacco leaves, oak note, and some more sweet strawberry. Nose is nice. Taste follows the nose, really mellow, nice minty sweetness, soft tannins, ripe grapes, and some tinkling vanilla. Aftertaste is medium long with a bit more bittersweet note, and a bit peppery. Above average.

Dry full bodied and bold start. Tannins pack a good kick but finished a bit weak. Doesn’t linger but still drinkable on its own. I would buy again especially given the price at Costco. Definitely is better if given time to breathe.
