As I can claim extremely limited experience with wines from Croatia here's a bit from the web.

"Mato Violić - Matuško is one of the pioneers of private Dingač wines. Being the avangarde biker from Potomje, he makes very special wines. Dingač is not an ordinary wine, it has become a status symbol based on the tradition of winemaking in Croatian areas. Climate and micro location was critical to the creation of quality, and grape variety Plavac Mali, which is in Dalmatia called "the blood of the soil", because of its resistance to drought and ruby red color, gave its best expression precisely in Dingač appellation".

Supposedly one of the best from the region let's just say that you have to have a VERY open mind to appreciate this wine as it literally tastes like vanilla extract mixed with marzipan paste. Not knowing enough of what to expect from this country/area/varietal this is a NR for me.

This wine was only a few red wines that will go with just about anything you could eat, from seafood to steak..

Sweet almost sticky smell remiscent of conserve. Very easy on palate (surprising for southern wine), light cherry taste notes of sunned grapes. No tannin. Long (5s) aftertaste with dry finish.
