Aromatic red fruits - strawberry and raspberry with a whole bunch note very Coal River in my experience. A very pretty nose not dissimilar to nearby Tolpuddle. Quite a sweet palate. Fine tannins, low acid - not for long keeping. Impossible not to like this.

Medium Ruby. Nose of spiced Rhubarb and strawberry which carries over to a rich delicious medium bodied palate with mild tannins. The lusciousness is mouthfilling. Rich enough to be compared to a slightly detuned Otago Pinot. Label says the inclusion of a small percentage of whole bunch clusters which feels about right when you taste it. Superb quality ripe Pinot Noir fruit. No other words but extremely moreish. 95 points and Gold Medal.

Toffee caramel notes showing the oak influence along with bright red cherries and other red fruits. On the palate a nice savoury earthiness - very Tassie. From the Coal River and only 5 klms from the high profile Tolpuddle Vineyard. Tasted again 9 weeks later on 19th February with consistent notes. Aromatic Bright and Fresh. A lot of these Tasmanian producers are boutique small operations who do not distribute overseas and can sell the lot in Australia.
