Initial spice and earthiness on the nose. Bold fruit forward flavors might make you think this is a Zin but the finish is so smooth with the tiniest kick. Deliciously paired with BBQ chicken or drinkable on its own.

Drinking the 2016 in 2022. Earthy bouquet, with light plum notes. Light flavors, with hints of sour cherry and plum, slightly earthy with a tannic finish. Nice afternoon sipping wine.

In Temecula, Ca Ponte Winery, Pinot Noir 2017, which doesn’t show up on this site list. Leg and length are good, smooth with hint of black cherry, licorice and smoke. More tannin than Ponte’s Tempranillo 2016 and Doppietta 2015.

A wet red, this Sangiovese's flavor profile is smooth and rather bland at first sip, but the aftertaste evolves into a pungent, bitter taste.
