This took time to open when it did I leaned towards aged grand cru burgundy as the bubbles were fine and faded fast. Intense power and creaminess as it unfolded. Lots of acid that made this drink well with almost every dish.

Nice golden color. Your nose is greeted by almonds, apples and fresh bread. The palate treats you to the flavors you just inhaled. Kept fresh by a nice twist of acid but overall complexity is low at this stage.”

An exceedingly pretty old gold color in the glass with shy green tinges. A dearth of fine, pristine bubbles. The nose here is so alluring, so delectable. Lemon curd and honey brioche bread. Vanilla custard and orange shavings. There’s a nice element of smoke that begins to permeate after it warms up. Whiffs of red fruits appear after even more time. Really really nice.

Prestige cuvées are always so fun to open, and it’s not just about the champagne. It’s about the occasion, the drama, the mood, the romance, and everything else. 60/40 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Cuvée Louise is so indicative of the Pommery style. The dosage a bit higher than what many of us are now accustomed to but the wine still shows signs of tension because of the impeccable structure and balance.

This is a warm champagne, one that provides comfort. But it also manages to thrill. Full bodied and showing it’s maturity in a very good way. Caramel and soft butter in the mouth along with candied apples and butterscotch. Biscuits, toffee, and melon. The finish is long and rich. Delightful.

HWT - - I’m sure this was expensive since it came in a beautiful box, but for a 20 yr old bobble it didn’t have much flavor.

Crisp, dry and chalky. Perfect with shrimpers on the barbie.

Give this a 1/2 hour in the glass and let it bloom. Creamy apples. Pretty dry.

One of our favourite bubbles & the latest vintage @ £110 is fab also 👍 given another 4-5yrs it will be superb! Mineral lovers need only apply 😉

🏵 93-94 points

🍇 60% Chardonnay & 40% PInot Noir

🍷 Straw yellow

👃 Hot yeast, baked brioche, honeyed caramel green apples, lemon sugar biscuit & rock minerals

👄 Med bodied fine bubbled mousse of slight tart citrus curd, minerals, zingy green apples w/ a hint of tropical fruit & sweet nutty biscuit

🎯 Long citrus, green apple & mineral touch dry chalky linger
