At seven years of age, still juicy and acidic. When opened it had pronounced salinity, but that faded nicely.

Deep reddish brown. Plum, blackberry, leather, salinity. Still somewhat acidic and takes some time to balance out.

Morellino is the local name for the Sangiovese varietal. Deep garnet red with a pink rim. Cherry, raspberries, medium spice, good fruit. Medium body. Paired with pasta in light flavorful tomato sauce. Tasted at Poggio Amorelli Winery in Chianti
