Vintage 2016 | barnyard smell, good concentration

Floral noise, berry palate

Lavender on the nose. Blackberry and blueberry mid-palate. What a sleeper! Opened up to a lush, velvety treat. Loved!

Big black fruit, licorice, cedar, and a bit of tea tell-tale Tuscan funk. It's very much a modern wine, but doesn't go overboard

Mint, bouillon, medicinal

Was going to let this one age a bit but my wife wanted to try it. Glad I did as the cork had bled quite a bit. That being said it is drinking wonderfully. Plenty of ripe dark fruit and balanced tannins. Some earthy notes on the nose that follow through to the dry lingering finish. I'll buy another to age.

48th anniversary wine

Licorice, some mild black fruit on the nose, medium to full body, some remaining tanin, smooth and long finish. 2011 vintage in 2024

October 2, 2021. Dinner w/Jack D, Dean, Bridget. Wine no. 1. I have had this several times — first at Allegrini’s Villa delle Torre. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc. Such a good wine! Dark fruit, smooth balanced tannins. I could drink this all night.

Some fruit and still a lot of tannins.
