Still a baby, but it's got all the fruit and acidity that you look for in Nebbiolo, just needs another 10 yrs minimum.

My go to Barolo. Cicala never disappoints. Goodbye 2013.

Barolo and food complement each other so well. Our duck sauce really helped bring out the fruit.

Beautiful flowery and potpourri nose, gorgeous cherry fruit with tar, tobacco, kirsch, very grainy, mineral laced tannic finish with cedar and sandalwood. Nice herbal character, perhaps not giving enough with mint notes. A little overboard on the acidity too - Dry even by Barolo standards after 90 minutes.
After another hour decanting, this became much more integrated, with big spicy, dusty cherries and a perfumed finish without so much tannic bite. Delicious bottle. If this is what the "new school" Barolos taste like, bring em on!

Still needs a few years. Fruit is masked by tannins that are still fairly potent. Bouquet is on the light side, but wine is balanced with nice cherry tartness.

Infanticide? We have one more of these monsters we'll wait another four or five years on.
