We seem to have held this one just the right amount of time. Medium-bodied, licorice and minty cranberry aromatics, tannins totally resolved, medium length finish. Tasty with roast chicken.

Crushed berry and tar, bits of anise. Sweet and muscular, light floral, and solidly tannic. Evolves slowly, potently, and with savor. Finish seems short, but comes back for a refrain. V.good.

KWN Wine 1. Was clear this had a lot of age. Lot of tar, leather, super silky. We all correctly guessed Barolo. Hard to pick my WOTN with the lineup we had but this was one of my favorites of the night.

Classic roses and tar, feminine but perfectly framed tannic structure from light, perfect wood. I noted a French vibe. I called it 5th but it was T2 of 6 for the group. Miles to go. Barolo Blind.
