This could be a wonderful house wine or BTG selection in any proud Italian restaurant of good repute. Not terribly complex, but available for as little as $10 USD makes it a steal in my estimation. Medium-bodied with decent structure. More Dolcetto character showing in this blend, and there is a distinct white pepper and garrigue shining through that I enjoy very much. Solid little table wine that needs food but is not lacking in fruit or acidity.

Glass of this and 6 Calm Cove oysters for $14 during happy hour at Bar Mingo. Seriously, does it matter how good it was or if it goes together? It's pretty plush, ripe and "big boned" though.

Apr 13th, 2018Geranium, sour cherry, ash, and graphite all over. Mouth-puckering tannins and bright acidity send fruit to the background somewhat. This is begging for a Thursday pasta dinner.

Lovely essentials and base notes. A bit green, as others have noted. Tangy and with puckering acidity. 2/3 went into the ragù pot ;)
