Russian River Valley Zinfandel

Leans toward the red end of the berry spectrum. 🍒 Earthy, too. But there’s also an unpleasant touch of like plastic that’s rubbing up against the good flavors. (Likely reduced.) Hoping it will go away after a little bit.

So round two. A little dirt on the nose, mulberry, cherry, pepper and more dirt on the palate. Good.

Needed a day for the rubbery nose to blow off but after that it had great earth mixed with berries.

Over sulfured.

Not for me and strangely not because it was too big or too jammy. It showed interesting meatiness but quickly hollowed out. Not much of a finish at all. Enjoyed the initial palate but it never paid off.

Love Porter Bass but this taste more like fruit punch, I'ma pass on this one.

Very smooth. Not much flavor

Bright sour red fruit. Opened ok however missing any significant complexity or length.

Some grilled meat action on the nose, really pepper finish, a little missing in the middle but tasty stuff
