Mature notes of leather, vanilla and spice box on the nose.
At its core, this wine is excellent. Still fruit forward, and linear. Its plumpness has evaporated, leaving dark red fruits, with hints of cassis. This has evolved to become Bdx clone. It possesses uncommon depth and character, which is unusual, given its age. Very impressive.
