Wow...like last year's '96, this '97 is holding on nicely for a sparkler nearing two decades. lots of toast, roasted nuts, and brioche.

Excellent Tasmanian pinot noir chardonnay bubbles; brulee, #yeast #seamless #length; liqueured touch sweet but long and savoury

Slightly Corked? and out of fizz, maybe too old? Though great texture and softness plus great cooked fruits. Would have been great with fizz

Love this sparkling wine. We had it at our wedding in 2003. It is difficult to get in the US now. I picked this one up in Tasmania at the winery a few years ago and it is complex, well blended, depth of flavor, some toasted nuts in the nose, and flavor, a bit of smoke. Went very well with sushi appetizer and had enough body, depth, and interest for the full New Years evening meal. Wonderful way to celebrate the new year. Will be 14 years of wedded bliss this may
