Aromas of rose petals and menthol and a touch of tar. A very savoury medium weight palate with tannins fine and persistent - 90% resolved yet retaining classic mature Barolo structure. This wine could go on for a few years with little change I believe. Thoroughly enjoyable with Roast Pork for Sunday lunch. From family owned vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba.

May 23rd, 2021Notes of Plum Leather Pepper and Tar. Zero Oak influence. Opened with high acid and high tannin but with time became more supple and an alluring balanced elixir. As a supplier said, Barolo is not a drink, more a drug. From the 10/10 2006 vintage.

Mar 1st, 2017More structured than the 2010, probably due to it being an ornato. More full bodied, denser thicker notes on the nose. Not as complex as expected though, kind of faded after a while but not sure if it's just closed
