Earth times abound in this find from my #wineclub stash. Bravo! Perfect accompaniment to our family #sundaysauce. Layers of brick, plum skins. Dry spicy filled finish. Works extremely well with the acidity in the tomato sauce and holds up to the holy trifecta of Italian meat sauce.

this is a really interesting wine.
On the first bottle --- I tried a sip shortly after opening – it was light. Then it proceeded to get bigger and bigger as it opened up until it was a mouthful when finishing it after dinner.

So I figured boy this needs to breath a long time (I think I mentioned that when I recommended it) so on #2 I opened it and just let the bottle sit for like 4 hours. When I tried it I didn’t think it was right, not all that great. So I put it in a decanter and somehow it did it’s magic and soon became delicious.

I’ve got the feeling that this would benefit by a few more years in the bottle. For sure I’m decanting and letting it sit on the next one.

This is not a DOCG Barolo or Barbaresco other wise it would say that on the bottle. I suspect it has some other wine blended in. but who cares it’s good.
