2010 Pierre Yves Colin Morey Montrachet. Drank at French Laundry at advice of sommelier. It changed a lot as the night went on and both K and I felt that it tasted much more like a Mersault than a Montrachet. High acid, mineral, and richness to the wine, which was great with food, just not what we had anticipated.

Off the charts! Hands down wine of the night & it was up against some pretty stiff competition. Montrachet on 11! Unbelievable power and finesse. PYCM never disappoints, across the board. There was a dream that was Montrachet and this is certainly it. The eighth wonder of the world in a glass! Kill me now!

The potential for greatness is real here. Very compact and just all coiled up waiting to get out. But it probably won't for decades. When it does, I'd like to be there. Even so, this was a pleasure to drink early.
