Pierre Gonon
Saint-Joseph Vielles Vignes Syrah
Deep, powerful and intense with exceptional detail and layered complexity. Rich dark fruit, campfire smoke, black olive and violets come at you in waves. There is incredible depth and purity of fruit on the palate that’s backed by lively energy and lift. It’s still quite primary in its evolution with some powdery tannins and oak presenting themselves but it’s such a joy to drink and it’s so giving at this stage. The VV lives up to the hype.

Nov 18th, 2020Dark raspberry and licorice on the taste finished by olive and some smoke. Compelling stuff and hard to just sip but a baby that will get better in time.
