1 person found it helpfulFeb 22nd, 2020100% Syrah from flatter vineyards at the bottom of the slope (between the Route Nationale and the Rhône) and young-vine fruit from hillside vineyards. I believe that there is still upside if this gets a few more years of bottle age, but this vintage is very nice right now if you have one and want to open it up. Classic Syrah nose and palate (olives, violets, smoked meat). Raspberry and dried herb aromatics as well. This isn’t as “rustic” as some other Northern Rhone Syrahs I’ve had lately. This is svelte and polished. Quality of the fruit and winemaking is very high.

Jan 9th, 2021Damn tasty and right at the intersection of ripe and savory. First day the fruit overwhelmed. Second day, the pepper/violet and meat/olives came out but there was still a lushness to the backbone
