1 person found it helpfulFeb 5th, 2017A really attractive peach, light pink color with sparse bubbles definitely on the tiny side. Plenty of creaminess and fun effervescence. The nose is striking with notes fresh red berries and floral notes. Strawberries and peaches galore, along with green apples and grapefruit. Violets and some nice brioche aromas come to play.
These Chardonnay dominant rosés are so interesting. Definitely much more reminiscent of a Blanc de blancs than your standard cookie cutter rosé blend. 95% Chardonnay from Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites with 5% still Pinot Noir from Cumières. Based on the 2018 vintage and disgorged in March of 2021 with a dosage of 5 g/l. Moderate acidity and light bodied. Such an easygoing wine.
The fruit on the palate is much more lively than on the nose. Orchard fruits and springtime citrus on the palate. Just a touch of yeast but so much salinity and moist limestone. This is certainly a bottle to be enjoyed with company because it’s a crowd pleaser.
