Love this producer! Distinctly different from the 17' Metras Beaujolais this was drank with. The Metras - ethereal, earthy, briney, and could hardly last more than a day before it started becoming "beany". Now this wine on the other hand, held its ground and evolved over the course of 2 days. Structured, powerful, and dense. The nose is intense, offering a mix of red and black fruits, heaps of spice, and hints of florals. You can smell the warm sun here, and fruit almost feels kinda syrupy. The palate is rich with fine and very present tannins. Finishes very stoney and racy, projecting a feeling of energy and vitality This is delicious as it is now, but I'd prefer to keep it under locks for a while.

What a beast. Brooding and dark, savory. Wound up but there a deep core of crushed black brambly fruit, compote, crushed volcanic rocks, hot stones, pink peppercorn, cool licorice, juniper, fern, taffy. Needs some time just to unwind

Dark fruit and a very firm structure. Should be great in a year or two. Only issue is that it lacked length. A very serious wine

Brambly, crunchy, perfumey, lovely aromas of deep dark cherries and watermelon and plum.

Woah zip zip. Love this! Audacious, bold but medium bodied. Wonderful balance. Harmonious sips.

Really enjoying this around this time of year especially.

Rich and a bit weightier than i anticipated. Maybe not fully my thing but if you are partial to new world opulence it’s definitely worth drinking to see a different expression of that vibe.

WOW! Finally was able to find a bottle in Japan and had to go back to the shop to pick up the rest of their inventory (sadly only another bottle of 2017). Ripe berries, savoury spices and nice long finish. Yet the acidity keeps everything in check so it never gets jammy. Tons to love here!! @Aaron Tan finally found one!!

Crisp-apple textured gamay, soil and pressed cranberry candy gunpowder tar, edging northwest toward blemished bog berries. Faintly cloudy like cherry milk centrifuged through carbon fiber. Robust, charged, lightening-like array. Unstopperable.
