Tart, rich, long. No major faults, but a bit quotidian.

Medium old gold color with a soft, medium sized bubbles that dissipate rather quickly. Autolytic notes are dominant on the nose with straight up New Orleans baguette initially that is just awesome. Toasted nuts and crème brûlée shine. Ripe lemon abounds green along with some customary green apples. Some really nice chicory aromas with a sudden burst of biscotti drizzled with caramel.

From a tiny, sustainably farmed plot in the Grand Cru village of Avize. This is a very patrician champagne, quite stately. This possesses all the wonderful qualities of the stellar 2012 vintage. Beautiful minerality and slightly racy acidity. Distinctively a Blanc de Blancs, this is a supremely pure expression of Chardonnay and the terroir. A multifaceted champagne, perfect for all occasions

This needs plenty of air and maybe even some decanting but after a little time it will give itself to you fully. Nice intensity and drama on the tongue. More lemons and apples that mesh with vanilla and biscuits. Tantalizing yellow orchard fruits and the suggestion of chocolate. Will benefit from a few more years in the bottle but so very nice right now.
