Pierre Brisset
Échézeaux Pinot Noir

Holy moly we are in a great place. I felt the hairs on my arm stand up. This is perfect. Again. How does he do it? Shit. This wine is too good to express myself properly. How do you write about perfection? Black cherries, milk duds, but God’s milk duds. Huge huge cherries. Just in your face. So clear. So ebullient. Wow. Violets. Just insane violets. A hint of char. But omg that char is elite char. Ok, it’s in my mouth. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. Seamless. Inner mouth aromas are insane. So so perfect. So soft yet intense. So fresh. So slippery. So compact. That treacly texture. This is stunning and deep. Wow. What a finish. This is wide open. Wow. What a wine.

This is a 10.0. Let me get that out of the way. This nose is absurd. The palate is perfect. Soy, hoisin, black currents, black cherry, violets, just perfect. This is almost a 10.5 nose.
Notes are hard when a wine is this good, as I’m enjoying too much to get super analytical.
The nose is beyond. Forest floor. Caramel. Succulent pure fruit. Just beyond. This is elite. Beyond elite. This is an 11. Insane inner mouth aromas. So complete. So precise. So perfect. So delineated. So much energy, huge mineral wash on finish. Finish is endless. This is one of the greatest Burgundies I’ve ever had in my life.

Only GC from Brisset. Heavenly nose. Like the first time I got Bergman. It’s so overwhelming. Floral. Mineral. Heavenly spectrum of fruit. Black cherry, white cherry, cassis, almost a liquer like intensity, so so so floral. Deep, structured, insane tiny berry fruit intensity. This is insane. Lean and long finish. So closed but so good. Someone said it reminded them of Ligier-Belair La Romanee. World class wine.
Now after 7-8hours open its epic. Combo of floral and mineral that is just so good. Pure black plum, black cherry, deep red cherry, palate is just insane, huge power, depth and concentration with awesome black and red very embryonic fruits and plenty of acid and tannin. Long, nimble and so so pure. Really a masterclass. It just is so young only thing holding it back. Wait 10 years .
