Last bottle. No formal notes. Wow. Just one of the best values I have ever had. Unreal density, purity and length. Saline and flowers. Just brilliant.

Popped and poured; consumed over three days. Best on Day 3 but this was pretty awesome from the draw. Brisset’s humble Bourgogne Blanc sources fruit outside of the appellations of Chassange-Montrachet, Volnay and Meursault. I wouldn’t blame anyone for suspecting it to be 1er cru. The 2021 “Cuvée Cassanes” pours a straw color with medium viscosity. There is a gorgeous nose of green apples, underripe pineapple, kiwi, star fruit, and a mix of limestone and chalky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. The wine has lovely texture. The finish is long and has some super chalky minerals. A distinctive Bourgogne Blanc. I wish (and will) buy more of this in the future. An awesome pairing with pheasant pâté. Drink now through 2031. Thanks to @Lyle Fass for the assist!

Sweet lime, liquid minerals, so debonair, so elegant and ripe but energetic and tense. Always classy.

Best vintage since 18 and surpasses it. Wet earth, amazing nose. Hickory and floral. Mineral, round attack, and finish is so so juicy, acid, barely fruit. Amazing. 1er cru quality.

Yes. Just yes. Nose is super confectionary and has outrageous pure meyer lemon drop. Gorgeous minerality. Wonderful honeycomb with air. Elite elite elite. There is a primal aspect here that hasn’t been in previous vintages. Lanolin like. Palate has stunning depth, power, concentration and sapidity. Unreal tension. So so electric and the finish is epic. As usual Chassagne 1er cru quality. So juicy and complex and supernal balance and purity. So fresh and deep. Genius. Flavors are all tense green apples and a hint of delicate and sweet citrus. Has that roundness allied with tense acidity and periodic table of element levels of minerality. The balance is god tier. Genius. What one wants. As this airs the finesse just thrives. 9.5

Nose of lemon drop, lime zest, saline, sea breeze, limestone, white flowers and crushed rocks. Palate is so so elegant and sappy. Really floats but also seems turned inwards and needs time to flesh out. Juicy but only showing 10% of itself. Needs mega mega air. As this airs it loosens up and shows it’s sheer mineral force and great concentration. Wow is this mineral. Wow now it has gained elegance and length. 9.3 to 9.4 after 3-4 hours.

Gorgeous nose. Haven’t had in 2 years. Lemon, lime, crushed rocks, framing oak that is so subtle and masterful. White flowers and saline. Just a stunningly expressive and pure nose. I like the laser focus of the 19’s aromas. Palate is stunning. Concentrated and super mineral. So juicy, pure and layered. The most mineral and concentrated of the 18/19/20 trio. Perfect balance. I think this is the best bottle I‘ve had of Cassaneas. It’s just so pure and focused. The nose, as it airs gets more broad but doesn’t lose any focus. More earthy elements now. So succulent. Like a perfect stream of BB on one’s palate and so saline. The saline and florals give you such a sense of Chassagne. Stunning.

After 4 hours this come alive (even more!) with gorgeous clear liquid minerals on the nose. Smoke and super complex. Palate is so saline and mineral. Luscious and gorgeously long.
