Piattelli Vineyards
Reserve High Altitude Cafayate Valley Malbec Tannat
Bought this to cook with as I was making a dish that called for a Tannat and it turned out to be a lovely, reasonably priced drinker as well. Medium bodied, fruit, hint of tobacco with little or no oak.

1 person found it helpfulAug 6th, 2020Hadn’t had the Malbec/Tannat blend & picked it up for $13. Really a nice find - light on the finish, which I didn’t expect from the Tannat infusion…but an extra $10-15 would prob pay for a longer finish :). Still nice.

Aug 21st, 2021Dark fruit with vanilla and tobacco notes. A blend of malbec and tannat. Fruit forward style and am guessing more malbec than tannat. Easy drinking.

Dec 24th, 2020This could use some heavy breathing. Tannic and risky. We drank it with the first episode of The Queen’s Gambit. And then we drank some more.
