Paired well with frenched rack of lamb that was, admittedly, not at all gamey, rather rare and only lightly garlic-pepper treated. — on Weds half price day at Cassava in SF’s Outer Richmond on Balboa St. Nice nose. Sweet up front, tart mid palate back to wild gooseberry on the soft finish. Tiny bits of licorice, vanilla, orange-clover honey. Clean. Fresh. Excellent mouthfeel.
