One of the more elegant and silky NSG I've had. Great perfume and charm with just a kiss of the that hallmark rustic character. Spiced red fruits, blood orange peel, flowers, sweet spices, savory herbs, earth. Palate true to vintage with light approach driven by focused acid. Eager to see what this does with a little time to breath.

Ten years on this is tasting well rounded and savory, full of flavor but not too intense.

Strawberry cordial, fresh herbs, and delicate red fruit on the nose. A very light, delicate, and fresh body with notes of raisin, vanilla, strawberry, and wet leaves. A thin, but electric acidity animates the Pinot and brings the sweeter notes on the palate to life. Finishes crisp with an almost lemon-rind note to the acidity as the finish progresses. Delicate and gentle the entire way. A light, breezy, beautiful Burgundy.

A real treat enjoyed down the hill from Clos Vougeot. Have not been able to find in the US for a repeat experience.

Medium ruby to a slightly brick rim. Herby spice with almost a hint of mint on the nose. Mint stays on with feeling of freshness and delicate mouth feel. I do feel this might have had more to offer in the future.

Really enjoyed this Burgundy. Earthy, gamey, savory notes and well balanced. Would be a perfect pairing with duck confit.
