Enjoyable Cabernet from Napa...I am assuming Calistoga. Mocha and ample tannin structure. This benefits from some time in the decanter. Great wine to share on a date night. They also have one of the coolest tasting rooms in Calistoga, totally worth the visit if you are in Napa.

Jul 15th, 2019Excellent Napa valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a tad bit past it’s prime but still enjoyable! Lacking fruit but the tannins are still strong.

Dark cassis, herb and wild purple perfume florals. Ripe wild dark fruit blend, big clove, allspice, black licorice anise, black tea, soft leather and easy wood presence despite 75% new oak, perfect minerality and rich moist black earth, some brown sugar. The fruit in this wine is singing and really shines. Bright fruit and high acid equals good aging but this is drinking beautifully now.

On the palate, it's medium-bodied, persistent and fresh with a silky texture and black cherry, plum, cassis, graphite,tobacco, and spice flavors. Long finish.
