A nice Pinot Noir from Germany.

Showing red fruits with red candy, spices, light wood, earth, barnyard, wet leaves, herbs and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Balanced and dry on the palate.

Not my style but drinkable nonetheless. A good food wine.

13% alcohol by volume.

84 points.

$20.

my favorite style of pinot this time made by germans. light. nice acidity. raspberry and earthy nose. classic cherry, blackberry, raspberry mixture in mouth. i like oaky flavors making the finish interesting. good piece of art.

Vanilla and toasty on the nose. Black and red currant + plum as primary flavor profile. Medium-high-ish acid. Left with nothing but tannin on the finish. It’s kind of clunky for the price point in terms of being all oak up front, then acid, then fruit, then tannin all in sequence. Balance is just off to me. I opened it a little above preferred temp for pinot noir, so that probably accounts for some of it.
