Excellent wine. Food friendly as you’d expect with balanced acidity. The actual montalcino vines are supreme. However the typical brunello notes are not here, because of course this is California soil. However what you get back is Sonoma depth of flavor and a fuller body - without being excessively oaked. This wine is the star of Petroni vineyards.
