I don't try many second wines; hard to know if it's a serious wine or a passable cash-grab. This was worth the spin, possibly aided by a generous vintage. Plum, currant and fines-herbes lead to spice, green tobacco, vanilla and clay. Ripe tannins, moderate acidity and a long finish. 🍒🌿🧱

Nov 12th, 2021Bought the bottle at the winery in France. Raspberry and dark fruit bouquet. Delicate up front. Soft earthy taste in the middle. Leather and vanilla(?) on the back. Medium earthy finish. Perfect with Chicago deep dish pizza! Definitely not a fruit bomb from California!

Dec 1st, 2024The amazing Terroir of Bordeaux never disappoints - smooth, subtle red fruit hangs on the back with some tobacco, earth and a hint of dark chocolate on the finish. Pair with a good red meat meal and enjoy the first class transport to the old world…Viva Lá Bordeaux!
