Typical Coonawarra mint - also cassis, hints of chocolate and blackberry. Sweet on the palate, the oak is dominated by the excellent fruit - great this way rather than the other way round. Medium plus intensity with supple tannins. An excellent Coonawarra Cabernet. Cabernet Sauvignon 60%; Merlot 31%; 9% Shiraz. First of 6. HH’s drinking window through to 2040. Bottled without filtration. Had the 2nd bottle 156 weeks later on 20th July 2024. Excellent wine with huge continuing cellaring potential. Very solid.
