Not a bashful wine. The bouquet emanates from a foot away. Liqueured black fruits, anise, coffee, bergamot, campfire smoke, leather, cloves. Solid acidity, soft tannins, viscous texture. It's an archetypal California cab, but a pretty superb example of it. As it opens the fruit freshens up and a nice cocoa note emerges.
