Les Sinards Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

I bought 2 bottles of this in around 2006. Drank a bottle right away, and it was so green and astringent that I just forgot about this one. It’s actually quite nice! Medium intensity nose has earthy garrigue, old leather, and even some dark berry fruit remaining. Still a little severe in the mouth, but much more in balance than early on. Nice clingy flavors not overshadowed by the still aggressive tannins.

Was probably close to going bad when we opened it. Not great but not terrible yet.
