Even at this lower price point, it was still a pretty disappointing wine. I've come to expect a little bit better from Penfolds. This Shiraz is dripping with over ripe boysenberry, and blackberry. Ripe black fruit, fruit jam, and more fruit. It needs to be poured over pancakes... Or cooked with. Very little structure except for the oak tannins. Simple, ripe, and utterly boring. No thank you!
