Cellar Reserve Barossa Valley Sangiovese
One of the better examples of Sangiovese outside of Italy I've had. You can be sure it's not from Italy but a third cousin. Doesn't have the sweet & sour cherry fruits. Much darker fruits with elegance.

Aug 21st, 2016There is a Barossa trademark in its rich, plummy and dusty earth aromas, while the well-balanced palate exhibit a more varietally recognisable idea apart from the alcohol-infused finish. Rustic and interesting wine worthy of attention.

Oct 24th, 2014So taken by surprised. All of the range was so lean and tight. This is rustic as f*ck! Definitely my favourite of their range. Well balanced palate with some surprisingly grippy tannins. Mixture of bright red fruit; currants and cherry mostly through to juicy plum. Underlying earthiness.

Oct 10th, 2015Wow. Interesting astringency here, it goes on and on everywhere in your mouth without being overpowering. Nicely balance and what a lovely long finish!
