This is the first time last night I had tried a dolcetto wine. I was very happy with what I was drinking. This was definitely the winner for me on the evening. The aroma was fresh with violets, red berries with a bit of almonds. The palate is medium bodied with a nice smooth feel and smooth tannins. The red berries come through with a slight bitter overtones and a nice acidity. It definitely is drinking well now.

Very good. Good with pizza too. Little less then Pinot but close. Smooth once it opens and some fruitiness too.
