I guessed this was new world Syrah, but it has a northern Rhône soul without a doubt. Crushed rock, rose petal, iron and a kiss of ripe red fruit that cements it as new world. No problem enjoying this young. Thanks @Jack Thompson

New meets old. Definitely decant this one for an hour or more now. Tons of rock, pepper, but awesome dark fruits that give it great body. The finish lingers. Beautiful wine.
