Lean and delicious. Violets. Smoked meat. So much better than the last one I had nine months ago. Previous bottle may have been flawed.

At San Laurel (in Conrad LA). App still broken.
Wine was too cold when served, but got better. Still tasted very young.

Just feels like a really underripe, strange young wine at this point. I usually love Pax Syrahs. The acid here is completely out of control, but the fruit is clearly quality. Totally disjointed. Weird wine. Going to stash 2nd bottle for a bit.

2020 vintage. A little leaner than some other Pax syrah offerings but no less impressive. 12.5% ABV. Medium-bodied. Chalk, plum, dark cherry and tobacco leaf.
