The dark garnet '06 Pax Red Rhone Blend 'Cuvée Moriah' exhibits scents of ripe red berries, licorice, spice box and smoke. A rich mouthfeel intermixes with strong fig and sweet red raspberry flavors. Tangy minerals lift the silky textured and lengthy finish.

A deep crimson, the '06 Pax Red Rhone Blend 'Cuvée Moriah' offers up a pure nose of black raspberry, violet and minerals. Tart black cherry is the predominate flavor detected in the rich medium-bodied mouth. The tannins are quite smooth and the finish moderately long. I'm a bigger fan of Pax's Syrahs.

14.2% alc.
I've always been a fan of this however don't think it is going to improve much from this point so I would dig in and enjoy if you still have some in your cellar.

Feels slightly past its prime, still a beautiful nose, but on the palate it's a bit flat. Opens up after a few hours in the decanter. A lot of sediment, to be expected in a bottle this old.

Tasty red fruit, nice tannins, even a bit tangy. Long finish. For a 2006 this GSM was nicely preserved and still quite full bodied, and 15.9% alcohol not so powerful.

CDP style blend from Pax. Grenache based with Syrah and Mourvèdre. Super funky nose with meat, pepper, cranberries, and tobacco. Eye popping fruit for an 11 year old. Mag.
