Paul Jaboulet Aîné
Domaine de Thalabert Crozes-Hermitage Syrah
Much darker color than the Beaucastel and it seems a little younger than I would have thought, with the mint and lactic edge I expect from Jaboulet in that era, and ample fruit, though it dries out a little on the finish.

Nov 2nd, 2016Leather, meaty, smoky aromas and flavors, great acidity, still some lovely red fruit flavors, seems mature, but drinking just beautifully tonight!! (And yes, that’s the original $13.75 price I paid!!)

Mar 2nd, 2022Robust tannins led by a fine and very dry summer, concentrated fruit support, gained complexity with age.
Syrah average age around 50y/o.

Medium ruby, mature, sweet fruit notes, on palate fully mature but nice balance and length, simply lovely older northern Rhone Syrah!
