An intoxicating bouquet of candied tree fruits lemon orange vanilla creme caramel toffee and perfumed floral notes with a smooth creamy texture ultra rock but still has wonderful freshness pear jolly rancher candy like fruit, long layered finish candied ginger. Finish 50+. Killer

Yet another fabulous grower Champagne, Paul Dethune's Cuvée À I'Ancienne Grand Cru Champagne Brut is gorgeous! I love the acidity in this wine, it provides not only focus, but also superb lift, and despite it being an Extra Brut, it manages to come across as totally fresh and vibrant. There is too, marked purity and sappiness on the palate, and it finishes with mouthwatering, complex notes of toasted hazelnut, bread dough, peach, d'Anjou pear, and wet stone. A special wine. Blast of apple and pear at the core wrapped in honeycomb and lemon and a serious long chalky finish. The mousse on this bottle is very fine and creamy. I also got notes of yeasty biscuit and toasted nuts.
