A challenging vintage as shown by how uncharacteristic this wine is. While the purity and acidic tension are all there, the 2021 lacks the weight of past vintages and displays a noticeable green pyrazine character. There are elements of this wine that read more Sauvignon Blanc than Chardonnay. Great minerality, but it will be interesting to see if this has enough fruit to hold up in the cellar.

Beautiful entry level from Piuze and an incredible vintage for Chablis. Excellent mid palate weight with a mineral core surrounded by lemon, tangerine, and underripe melon. Nice texture, tastes of substance.

Piuze is a rockstar. Ripe citrus and pear with refreshing acidity that softens with air. Great on its own, but the minerality pops with scallops or steamed crab legs. It’s hard to find ANY Chablis under $20, this, at a few bucks more, presents great QPR.

Drinking very nicely with the fruit and minerality neck & neck. Broad feel but still very focused.
