Clean, clear and bracingly mineral with lovely lemon citrus, Apple, smoky Flint and a hint of spicy lemongrass. Time in bottle has taken the razor edge off the acidity so the wine today is beautifully balanced

Flinty, smoky, peppery, this 2011 is quite distinct from its older brother. The color is not dissimilar but one would never confuse the two glasses. The pepper note is something I get a lot from 2011, and I wonder if it will blow off with air or just time. The palate is more penetrating though the finish fails to show a different side of the equation in the way the 2010 does. A very competent wine but a bit one note.

Not bad! The threat of premox hangs rather highly in the air, but the wine holds together...for now. Vaillons seems to have the least integrity for this short-range producer, so I would drink up if you’re holding!

A zesty, underripe vibe here. Green as the day is long! But zippy. Wonder where this will go with age. Showing well for the vintage and producer. With Danish Porridge!

Favourite vineyard. Almond meal, horseradish, perfectly balanced.
