Northern Rhône, Rhône, France

Nose of beef jerky, spice, olive, black olive. Granite and some flowers. Very N. Rhone. Deep clay. Intense. Very very aromatic. Palate is juicy, fresh and elegant. Pure and clean. If lacking a tiny bit of extra fruit the surrounding years provide this wine. It’s excellent but needs 10% density.

Lively nose shows Szechuan peppercorns, moist gravel, rusted iron, and raw beef. The flavors parallel the nose but are surprisingly light. Very nice acidity.

More mineral than 15 and juicy. Excellent purity. Deep. A baby. Needs 3 years.

An under 20$ northern Syrah ( actually 99% Syrah/1% viognier). Bright and absolutely charming with some of that meaty teeth you would expect from Northern Rhone Syrah.
