Aged for 3 months oak, dark red with black fruit aromas and smoky notes. On the palate ripe blackberry flavors with pepper spice and oaky characters. Medium finish ending with burnt vanilla spice. Ok but not a fan.

Oct 29th, 2018Happy sipping, during and after dinner, for Bourbon and Zin fans, because their flavors compliment one another: black pepper spice, blackberry, and vanilla--wonderful with Asian-barbecued beef short ribs, AND rustic cherry tart with toasted almonds and whipped cream (with splash of vanilla)

Aug 18th, 2018First sip was just “okay”, but we paired it with a red chili and dark chocolate for dessert and it solid. Wouldn’t have guessed it was a Zin at first sip. Can taste the vanilla from the bourbon barrels.
