Aged for 3 months oak, dark red with black fruit aromas and smoky notes. On the palate ripe blackberry flavors with pepper spice and oaky characters. Medium finish ending with burnt vanilla spice. Ok but not a fan.

Feb 13th, 2024A very nice Zin, but potent. Paired perfectly with steak and dark chocolate. The bourbon barrel does offer some hints of coffee and spice. Cherry and a little vanilla are our notes.

Mar 25th, 2023It’s good. The normal spicy character of a good zin is mellowed by the sweetness of the bourbon barrel. It’s lighter than our typical zin repertoire. Unexpected since a barrel bourbon cab is usually dense enough to cut through.

Mar 6th, 2021Less jammy than the earlier vintages. More dry/tannic/oaky. A hint of bourbon character, vanilla spice, plum, tobacco.
