Aromas and flavors of juicy red berry fruit. Hint of black pepper on the nice even keeled finish. Soft tannins and high acidity levels. Not as earthy as a typical Beaujolais wine and it shows a deeper garnet color and more heft as well. Great food wine. Pleasant surprise. Appreciate you opening this bottle, Ron B!

Haven’t had a villages in a long long time but this is a wonderful way to revisit: dark, dark black fruit flavor profile with a mid palate that bites back. Sure, the finish is short but for 10&, it’s a bit feral & a no brainer. Rosenthal book.
